Ask Gavin | Moebius Voices

We are proud to announce the launch of a new addition to our Moebius Voices series: Gavin Speaks. This initiative shines a spotlight on Gavin Fouché, an adult living in South Africa with Moebius Syndrome. Gavin’s life story is one of perseverance, courage, and possibility. From the earliest days of intense hospital therapies and medical doubts, to becoming an author, a customer-care consultant, and a speaker, Gavin has proven that a diagnosis does not define a destiny.

Why Gavin?

Because Gavin has lived the journey. He knows firsthand the challenges families face in the early years of therapies and adaptations. He understands the social hurdles of growing up with Moebius. And he has experienced what it takes to build confidence, independence, and a meaningful career as an adult.

Gavin’s insight comes not from textbooks, but from lived experience — the kind of wisdom that only someone who has walked the path can share.

What to Expect

Through Moebius Voices: Gavin Speaks; community members will have the opportunity to:

  • Ask Gavin questions about Moebius Syndrome and everyday life.

  • Learn practical tips for navigating therapies, communication, and social interactions.

  • Hear honest reflections on resilience, acceptance, and growth.

  • Gain inspiration from Gavin’s personal journey of overcoming barriers and embracing possibility.

How to Participate
